Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time Onsite Position

Work Environment

Our rehabilitation center is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities that promote a modern and patient-centric approach to physical therapy. The typical work week comprises 40 hours, with some variability in weekend shifts. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations to establish individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
• Implement and adjust therapeutic interventions based on continuous assessment of patient progress, while meeting productivity standards.
• Document evaluations, treatment plans, and discharge summaries in compliance with legal regulations and organizational policies.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nursing staff, and other therapists, to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide guidance on patient management to healthcare providers and actively engage in leadership functions such as community outreach and program development.
• Supervise and mentor assigned support staff, including Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and students, fostering their development and ensuring high-quality patient care.
• Engage in continuous professional education through attending in-services and workshops, enhancing both personal competence and team capabilities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily focuses on patients experiencing orthopedic conditions such as post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, arthritis, and chronic musculoskeletal pain. You will apply evidence-based therapeutic techniques to promote recovery and empower patients, educating them and their families on self-management strategies to enhance independence and prevent future injuries.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy, with current BLS certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Proficiency in computerized documentation and familiarity with therapy management software.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with prior experience in orthopedic rehabilitation, as well as those who have participated in research and community education initiatives, will be highly regarded. Familiarity with advanced treatment modalities and techniques, including manual therapy and therapeutic modalities, is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
