Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, including crisis interventions and follow-up care planning tailored to clients' unique needs.

• Perform accurate assessments to determine the appropriate level of mental health care, coordinating effectively with other health professionals and correctional staff.

• Lead group therapy sessions on mental health observation units, fostering a supportive environment that encourages personal growth and recovery.

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessments, collaborating with clients to align treatment goals with their personal aspirations and challenges.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of all client interactions, ensuring compliance with state regulations and organizational standards.

• Engage in clinical supervision sessions with a Clinical Supervisor at least once a week to enhance professional skills and ensure effective practice.

• Facilitate participation in mental health and medical rounds, case conferences, and interdisciplinary treatment planning meetings.

• Provide psychological testing as required and supervise social work interns and student volunteers to foster their practical learning experience.

• Complete required statistical reports to support the continuous improvement of mental health services.

• Adhere to the organizational protocols and carry out additional duties as assigned by leadership staff.

The ideal candidate will work directly with incarcerated individuals who face a range of mental health challenges, including behavioral problems, severe mental illness, and substance use disorders. Qualifications\n

• A valid state license as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT is required.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• At least five years of full-time, paid experience providing direct care in a behavioral health setting, including two years post-licensure experience.

• Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills, with the ability to manage complex mental health cases.
