Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial interviews with clients and document case histories, tracking their progress from the first consultation through the duration of treatment.

• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, utilizing standardized assessment tools and clinical observations.

• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans that address the unique challenges of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that promote therapeutic growth and healing.
\n
• Regularly monitor and assess client progress throughout the treatment cycle, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to provide holistic care tailored to client needs.

• Manage referrals and follow-ups for clients requiring further medical interventions, ensuring continuity of care.

• Identify and mitigate behaviors that hinder recovery, employing proactive strategies to enhance patient engagement.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The patient population at Alameda Psychotherapy Services includes individuals from various backgrounds and age groups facing a range of mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational challenges. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid and current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Washington State.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrable previous experience working in a mental health counseling role.
\n
• Proficient in using electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR, for efficient documentation and client management.
\n
• Familiarity with best practices from the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) to enhance the quality of care.

• Strong understanding of the interplay between physical and emotional health conditions and substance use disorders.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to convey complex information clearly and empathetically.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills that foster a trusting and therapeutic environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in a telehealth setting, providing remote mental health counseling effectively.

• Background in group therapy facilitation and workshops that promote mental health awareness.

• Knowledge of treatment methods for specific populations, including but not limited to adolescents, veterans, and the elderly.

• Skillful in recognizing and addressing co-occurring disorders within client treatment plans.

Compensation and Benefits\n
