Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to gather detailed insights into patients' trauma histories and identify suitable treatment approaches.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that are specifically focused on trauma recovery, incorporating resilience-building strategies that empower patients.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate patient progress.

• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions tailored to help patients process their trauma, develop coping mechanisms, and promote overall mental health.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated, holistic care plans are in place for each patient.

• Respond to crisis situations by providing immediate intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping methods, and available community resources for ongoing support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals affected by trauma, including but not limited to survivors of abuse, natural disasters, or significant life changes that have led to psychological distress. Your role is crucial in helping these individuals navigate their recovery journeys with confidence and determination.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure in Massachusetts as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders, various trauma-informed treatment modalities, and how to effectively build resilience in clients.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, embodying a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with digital communication tools.

• Composure in high-stress situations, allowing you to remain calm and effective in crisis intervention.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates with a passionate commitment to trauma-informed care will be seriously considered. Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions is highly desirable.
