Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients recovering from injury, illness, or surgery, developing comprehensive treatment plans tailored to their individual needs.
• Implement various therapeutic modalities including exercise regimens, manual therapy techniques, and the use of specialized equipment designed to alleviate pain and enhance mobility.
• Document patient progress meticulously, tracking treatment responses, and adjusting plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Reassess therapeutic goals regularly and modify treatment strategies based on patients' evolving needs.
• Educate patients, their families, and caregivers on effective use of assistive devices and techniques, ensuring they can participate as active partners in their care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of health professionals, providing insights and contributing to holistic patient care.
• Maintain professional development by attending relevant workshops and acquiring continuing education credits.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Active state licensure in Physical Therapy in Virginia.

Preferred Experience
