Mountain Park Pulmonology PC is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) specializing in cardiology to join our robust team in Southampton, New York. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to engage in the outpatient practice of the Center for Advanced Cardiac Care (CACC). The Nurse Practitioner will work under the supervision of the Chief Nurse Practitioner and collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, contributing profoundly to patient care within the Division of Cardiology.

Work Environment

This position is situated in an outpatient office environment, designed to foster collaboration and patient engagement. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and resources essential for delivering comprehensive cardiology services. You will be working alongside experienced cardiologists, other Nurse Practitioners, and a supportive team of healthcare professionals who are dedicated to improving patient outcomes. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, with no on-call duties, nights, or weekends, promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including thorough history reviews and physical examinations tailored to cardiology.
• Manage and treat patients with chronic conditions such as Hypertension and High Cholesterol, developing individualized care plans that promote optimal heart health.
• Provide outpatient Electrophysiology services, assessing and managing patients with abnormal electrocardiograms and arrhythmias.
• Monitor and treat acute cardiology conditions, including Coronary Artery Disease, Peripheral Artery Disease, Congestive Heart Failure, Valvular Heart Disease, and Stroke/Transient Ischemic Attack.
• Administer Stress Testing to evaluate cardiac function and response to exercise, ensuring timely and accurate diagnosis and treatment.
• Facilitate referrals to specialists within the group and coordinate care to ensure comprehensive treatment for patients.
• Educate patients and their families about cardiovascular health, preventive measures, and disease management strategies to empower them in their healthcare journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Nurse Practitioner will focus on a diverse patient population seeking cardiology services, ranging from routine cardiac evaluations to complex cardiac conditions requiring specialized care. The role emphasizes a patient-centered approach, ensuring that all individuals receive tailored care that meets their unique cardiovascular needs and supports their overall health objectives.

Qualifications

• A completed accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a focus applicable to cardiology, such as Master’s or Doctoral degree.
• Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner licensure in New York.
• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner with relevant credentialing.

Preferred Experience

Training in outpatient settings, familiarity with electrocardiogram interpretation, or previous work in electrophysiology and chronic disease management will enhance a candidate’s prospects.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers an annual salary range of USD 120,000 – 160,000, reflecting the importance of the role and the expertise brought by the qualified candidate. Additional benefits include:
