Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Happy Body Therapy, you will be responsible for:

• Consulting with patients to assess their physical conditions and symptoms, developing personalized treatment plans based on their requirements.
• Diagnosing movement dysfunctions and establishing specific rehabilitation goals.
• Providing instruction on therapeutic exercises, while demonstrating techniques to ensure proper usage and safety.
• Delivering massage and stimulation therapies to enhance healing and mobility.
• Assisting patients with mobility devices such as wheelchairs, walkers, or other necessary equipment to encourage independence.
• Maintaining meticulous patient records to track progress, goals, and treatment outcomes.
• Advising patients and their families on exercise regimens and homecare practices to support recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our diverse patient population includes individuals of all ages, from children needing developmental support to adults recovering from surgeries or managing chronic conditions. You will work closely with both patients and their families, tailoring programs to address varying levels of mobility and personal goals, fostering a compassionate and effective healing process.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.
• Active and valid Physical Therapist license in Virginia.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective patient interactions and documentation.
• Proficiency in word processing and basic computer skills, ensuring efficient record-keeping and report generation.
• Flexibility and agility to adapt to various patient needs and treatment plans.

Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates with a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting, demonstrating the ability to develop and implement patient-focused treatment strategies effectively.
