We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team at Big Stone PT Center, located in Herndon, Virginia. In this full-time role, you will work directly with patients in their homes, providing personalized therapeutic care to enhance their mobility and overall quality of life.

Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite as a home care therapist, giving you the unique opportunity to work in patients' own environments. This setting allows you to observe and address their specific needs in familiar surroundings, which can significantly enhance therapeutic outcomes. You will have the flexibility to choose your hours from Monday to Friday, tailoring your schedule to best fit your lifestyle while ensuring optimal care for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to identify their unique needs and rehabilitation goals.
• Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices, therapeutic exercises, and manual therapy techniques to promote improved function and mobility.
• Provide skilled interventions such as stretching maneuvers, pain management strategies, and functional mobility training to aid in the recovery process.
• Document treatment sessions meticulously, tracking patient progress and response to therapy while communicating updates to other healthcare team members as needed.
• Regularly re-evaluate treatment goals and adjust plans or methodologies based on patient responsiveness and evolving needs.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on the use of assistive devices for self-care and ambulation, facilitating independence and confidence in everyday activities.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in physical therapy practices by participating in workshops, continuing education, and professional networks to maintain an exceptional standard of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will encompass a diverse range of patient needs, including individuals recovering from surgery, managing chronic conditions, or recuperating from injuries. As you engage with various age groups and diagnoses, your approach will be tailored to ensure each patient receives utmost care tailored to their specific circumstances. By fostering trusting relationships, you will empower patients to take an active role in their own recovery and rehabilitation processes.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information to patients and their families.
• Proficient in using word processing software and electronic health records to ensure accurate documentation and patient tracking.
• Strong adaptability and problem-solving capabilities in various home settings.

Preferred Experience

While prior experience in a home care setting is advantageous, we welcome recent graduates eager to develop their skills. Our mentorship program is designed to guide new therapists as they transition into professional practice. You should have a strong desire to learn and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a home environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this role ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and competency. In addition, our full benefits package includes the following:
