Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations and consultations to understand each patient's physical condition and symptoms through effective communication and examination.
• Diagnosing movement dysfunctions and devising individualized treatment plans that promote optimal recovery.
• Teaching patients proper therapeutic exercises tailored to their specific needs, ensuring they understand the techniques for maximum effectiveness.
• Providing hands-on therapeutic modalities such as stimulation, massage, and manual therapy to enhance healing and alleviate pain.
• Assisting patients with adaptive equipment, ensuring they can navigate their environments safely using tools like wheelchairs and walkers.
• Maintaining meticulous patient records, tracking progress and adjusting treatment plans based on patient feedback and clinical observations.
• Communicating with patients and their families about in-home treatment options and exercises to promote continued progress outside of therapy sessions.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.

• Proficient word processing and computer skills to manage patient documentation and treatment plans.

Preferred Experience
