Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments and interviews to thoroughly document client history and needs, ensuring a complete understanding of their mental health conditions.

• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health to create informed treatment plans that align with their unique circumstances.

• Design personalized intervention strategies that facilitate recovery for individuals, as well as their families, through tailored therapeutic approaches.

• Lead engaging individual and group therapy sessions online, employing evidence-based techniques that foster resilience and personal growth.

• Continuously monitor clients’ progress throughout their treatment journey, adjusting interventions as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with other mental health specialists, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care and intervention strategies.

• Maintain communication with medical professionals regarding clients admitted to hospitals to provide continuity of care.

• Proactively identify and address behaviors that may hinder recovery, empowering clients to overcome challenges.

• Extend support and guidance to family members and caregivers to help them navigate mental health challenges and improve home dynamics.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will serve a diverse client base, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and substance use disorders. Your ability to build rapport with clients from various backgrounds is essential, as you will be instrumental in fostering a safe and supportive environment that encourages healing and growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor, showcasing your skills and therapeutic techniques.

• A strong foundation in treating physical and emotional health conditions and addiction disorders.

• Understanding of the impacts of psychopharmacological treatments prescribed by physicians.
