Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct culturally sensitive and strength-based assessments for new patients and families, identifying their unique needs and goals.

• Provide tailored individual and family therapy sessions that address the specific mental health challenges and circumstances of each patient.
\n
• Complete billing, documentation, individualized treatment plans, and insurance authorization forms promptly, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
\n
• Develop and implement crisis plans, safety plans, relapse prevention plans, and wellness plans that promote the maintenance of stable functioning for patients.
\n
• Create discharge plans that facilitate smooth transitions for patients moving out of our care, empowering them to maintain their mental health independently.
\n
• Adhere strictly to all current federal and state laws, regulatory requirements, and Serenity Peaks' policies and procedures.
\n
• Engage in ongoing professional development through continued education and training, ensuring the maintenance of professional competence.
\n
• Be an active participant in case consultations and agency meetings to foster a collaborative treatment approach.
\n
• Complete all licensure requirements and participate in mandatory training sessions as part of professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The counselor will work with a diverse array of patients, including adults, adolescents, and families facing various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Your role will be pivotal in understanding the cultural dynamics of these populations and integrating culturally competent practices into your treatment methodologies.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family counseling, or a related field that aligns with licensure requirements.

• Current licensure as a mental health therapist (e.g., LMHC, LMFT, LCSW) in the State of New York.

• Experience in a community health clinic or similar setting, particularly with diverse and underserved populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and licensure.
