Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite, providing home care for patients in Passaic and the surrounding areas. You will work during regular office hours, Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to understand patients' medical histories and physical conditions, establishing specific treatment goals.
• Maintain a patient case load of one individual per hour to ensure personalized attention.
• Administer evidence-based treatment methodologies, utilizing advanced manual therapy techniques that directly address the needs of orthopedic patients.
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans, creatively incorporating diverse therapeutic techniques and innovations.
• Design individualized wellness programs focusing on building strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance.
• Monitor patient progress through careful evaluations and adjust treatment protocols accordingly to optimize recovery outcomes.
• Document patient interactions and therapy provided accurately and comprehensively using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems like WebPT.
• Effectively communicate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
• Advocate for patients by educating them about their conditions, treatment options, and the benefits of a proactive approach to health.
• Encourage proactive methods to minimize reliance on medication by suggesting non-surgical interventions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily serves a diverse patient population seeking orthopedic rehabilitation. You will work with individuals recovering from surgery, managing chronic pain, or regaining mobility due to various physical impairments. The unique setting of home care allows for highly individualized therapy sessions tailored to each patient's lifestyle and home environment, fostering a more personal and effective healing process.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• An active state license to practice as a Physical Therapist without any record of disciplinary actions.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and designing implementation of exercise programs.
• Familiarity with EMR Software, specifically WebPT, is necessary for efficient patient documentation.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist in outpatient orthopedic settings is preferred.
• Experience with home care environments and understanding patient-specific adaptations will be an advantage.
• Skill in collaborative treatment with cross-functional healthcare teams enhancing comprehensive patient care pathways.

Compensation and Benefits

We are pleased to offer a competitive salary range between USD 80,000 and 100,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
