Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand each patient’s trauma history and identify appropriate therapeutic strategies.

• Craft and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience, and overall mental wellness.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to support patients’ healing journeys.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions where patients can process trauma, learn coping techniques, and build supportive peer connections.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care and ensure the best outcomes for patients.

• Handle crisis situations with competence, providing immediate support during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and available community resources to empower their recovery process.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in adherence to legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems proficiently.

• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities aimed at advancing trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and developments in trauma therapy to ensure the highest quality of care is delivered.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Thrive, you will work primarily with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including veterans, survivors of abuse, and individuals coping with PTSD and related disorders. Your expertise will be critical in developing tailored treatment plans that respect each client’s unique history and foster a pathway to healing and empowerment.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Oregon.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience is preferred.
\n
• Solid understanding of trauma-related disorders and a proficiency in trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Experience delivering trauma-focused therapy and related interventions.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, combined with a non-judgmental and empathetic approach.

• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations and respond to clients with confidence.

• Proficient in EHR systems and other relevant computer applications.

• A collaborative mindset, thriving in a multidisciplinary team setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
