Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, allowing for greater flexibility in maintaining a balanced work-life dynamic. As part of our community health clinic, you will have access to a collaborative team of mental health professionals, including experienced clinicians, case managers, and administrative support. We utilize various electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to streamline patient documentation and management.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, utilizing both structured interviews and standardized assessments to gather pertinent client information.

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings, client goals, and best practices, tailoring interventions for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based approaches.

• Continuously monitor and document client progress throughout their treatment journey, adjusting plans as necessary and applying interventions to overcome obstacles to recovery.

• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate patient care and holistic support.
\n
• Identify risk factors and impeding behaviors that may hinder recovery, providing proactive support and intervention strategies to address these challenges.

• Assist family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing mental health issues, offering guidance and resources to help them support their loved ones.

The clientele served by Soulful Serenity Psychotherapy Center encompasses a wide range of ages and backgrounds, each with unique mental health needs. Many clients may experience anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship challenges, requiring specialized therapeutic interventions. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is required.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to foster trust and rapport with clients.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to support others in overcoming mental health challenges.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working as a mental health counselor, particularly in a community health or clinical setting.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, with a preference for experience using AVATAR.

• Proven experience working with clients facing a range of emotional and behavioral problems, including addiction disorders.

• Knowledge of best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• A comprehensive understanding of psychopharmacological treatments and their impact on mental health.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience, along with a sign-on bonus to welcome you to our organization.
