Wellcure Mental Therapeutic Clinic is seeking dedicated and passionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs) to join our team in Miami, Florida. In this full-time, remote role, you will have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of children and adolescents facing developmental disabilities and cognitive challenges. Ideal candidates will be bilingual in either Spanish or Portuguese, allowing for effective communication with a diverse client base.

Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of remote work combined with community engagement. Therapists will deliver services either in clients’ homes or in our outpatient settings, providing a mix of in-person and virtual sessions. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions both remotely and in community settings, including clients' homes, tailored to meet the individual needs of children and adolescents.

• Utilize evidence-based practices to support clients in developing coping strategies, enhancing social skills, and managing emotions effectively.
\n
• Address high-risk behaviors, such as self-injurious actions or aggression, with structured interventions designed to create safer home environments.
\n
• Collaborate closely with the Child Family Treatment Team and other specialists to develop holistic, integrated treatment plans, ensuring a cohesive approach to care.
\n
• Document treatment sessions diligently, ensuring intake records, treatment plans, and progress notes are completed and submitted in a timely manner.
\n
• Participate in monthly interdisciplinary meetings, where you will discuss client progress and contribute insights regarding further treatment options.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work primarily with children and adolescents aged 3 to 20, particularly those experiencing developmental disabilities and cognitive challenges. You will focus on promoting their social and emotional well-being while offering critical support to their families. As a therapist, understanding the complexities of this population and cultivating trust with both clients and their caregivers is essential.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Psychology, or related field is required.
\n
• Possession of an active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license is mandatory.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 pm) with flexibility to accommodate weekend sessions if possible.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for transportation to client locations.
\n
• A successful clearance of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is expected of all applicants.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

\n
• Experience in providing positive behavior support is desirable.
\n
• Familiarity with therapeutic practices geared towards working with children and adolescents with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD) is highly valued.

• Previous experience in a role that requires engagement with caregivers and family members is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n
