Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to determine students' mental health status, strengths, and areas of need, ensuring an evidence-based approach to individual care.
• Deliver effective therapies, utilizing techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), tailored to the educational context and individual student requirements.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including school counselors, teachers, and external mental health providers, to create comprehensive treatment plans that align with school objectives and student needs.
• Assist students and their families in understanding diagnoses, care options, and treatment plans, fostering an environment of accountability and resilience.
• Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions, employing diverse modalities to address various psychological and emotional challenges.
• Develop personalized treatment plans based on assessments, in consultation with the treatment team, integrating the student’s goals and family cultural considerations.
• Navigate students through the complexities of mental health care systems, advocating for their rights and access to necessary services.
• Organize and lead therapeutic groups, psychoeducational workshops, and discharge planning that enhance coping strategies and life skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily focuses on students ranging from elementary to high school. You will provide support to individuals experiencing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues that affect academic performance and social interactions. Our goal is to empower students to thrive academically and personally by providing tailored interventions and holistic support.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).
• Strong understanding of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and crisis intervention strategies specific to the youth demographic.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a school setting or with youth-focused programs.
• Familiarity with community resources and support systems available to students and families.
• Training in trauma-informed care and therapeutic modalities suited for children and adolescents.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $104,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a strong salary, you will receive a robust benefits package that includes:
