Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments utilizing standardized diagnostic tools to uncover each patient’s trauma history and specific needs.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that focus not only on trauma recovery but also on resilience-building techniques tailored to the unique circumstances of each patient.

• Employ evidence-based therapeutic methodologies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), ensuring effective support for trauma recovery.

• Deliver engaging individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and facilitate overall healing.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to enhance integrated care approaches for our patients, ensuring a well-rounded treatment plan.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, using best practices to stabilize and assist patients in distress.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, practical coping mechanisms, and the resources available to them, equipping them with knowledge to aid in recovery.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring timely updates to treatment records.

• Actively participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development initiatives that center on trauma-informed care and best practices.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to continually refine and improve therapeutic approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will mainly serve individuals coping with trauma-related disorders, including PTSD, complex traumatic responses, and dissociative disorders. Your understanding and responsiveness to the unique experiences of trauma survivors will help in building trust and facilitating their healing process.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Arizona.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling is preferred, particularly within trauma-focused settings.

• A strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and treatment methodologies, with a specific emphasis on trauma-informed care.
