This position is a remote telehealth role, allowing you to connect with clients conveniently from your own home or office. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews and maintain accurate documentation throughout the therapeutic process, from the initial consultation to treatment conclusion.

• Assess clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health to formulate effective and personalized mental health treatment plans.
\n
• Design individualized intervention and recovery plans that cater to the unique needs of clients, including families and groups.
\n
• Facilitate online individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic modalities to engage clients effectively.
\n
• Monitor clients' progress consistently, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on feedback and observed outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate on intervention strategies with interdisciplinary teams, including fellow counselors, psychiatrists, and medical professionals.
\n
• Coordinate follow-ups and communication with other healthcare providers for clients requiring additional support or hospitalization.
\n
• Identify and mitigate obstacles that could impede client recovery, ensuring a proactive approach to mental health management.
\n
• Support family members and caregivers in addressing their own mental health challenges related to clients' conditions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will focus on a diverse range of clients, including individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction disorders, and various other mental health concerns. By understanding the specific needs of different demographics, including children, adolescents, and adults, you will provide tailored support and interventions that resonate with each client.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is mandatory.
\n
• Possession of current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New Jersey.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated prior experience as a mental health counselor, with a strong background in evidence-based therapeutic practices.
\n
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and proficiency in using electronic health record systems like AVATAR to manage client documentation and treatment plans.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with clients facing a range of physical and emotional health conditions, including co-occurring disorders.
\n
• Knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and guidelines.
\n
• Understanding of the pharmacological impacts of medications prescribed by other healthcare professionals, and awareness of how they affect mental health.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective interactions with clients and the ability to document clearly and comprehensively.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills that foster trust and rapport with clients, parents, and other stakeholders.

Compensation and Benefits\n
