Work Environment

You will be working primarily onsite in our Newark clinic, which is designed to provide a supportive and modern rehabilitation environment. Your work hours will be from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. The facility is equipped with the latest technology and equipment to ensure optimal treatment outcomes, allowing for a seamless integration of various physical therapy modalities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial evaluations of patients to identify their specific rehabilitation needs and establish individualized treatment goals.
• Develop, implement, and adjust tailored treatment plans utilizing diverse therapeutic techniques to enhance patients' mobility and functional capabilities.
• Employ evidence-based practices to guide your interventions and ensure optimal patient results.
• Maintain a manageable patient caseload, ensuring each individual receives appropriate attention and care during appointments.
• Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) software, specifically Web PT, for accurate documentation and tracking of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
• Educate patients on preventative techniques and exercises, encouraging their active participation in their rehabilitation journey.
• Work closely with other physical therapists and healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care, sharing insights and recommendations for complex cases.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry advancements and techniques in physical therapy supported by current research.
• Promote a culture of wellness, guiding patients in lifestyle changes that support their rehabilitation and long-term health.
• Regularly assess and document treatment progress, making necessary adjustments to care plans to align with patients' evolving needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily involves treating a diverse patient population with a focus on orthopedic conditions, sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, and chronic pain management. You will encounter patients from various backgrounds and age groups, enabling you to apply and expand your clinical expertise across multiple scenarios.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.
• An active Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey with a clean record, free from sanctions or board proceedings.
• Proficient knowledge of manual therapy techniques and therapeutic modalities commonly used in outpatient settings.
• Ability to develop and apply successful exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Experience with EMR systems, particularly Web PT, for efficient patient record management.
• Commitment to continuing education and staying abreast of advancements in physical therapy practices.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an outpatient clinic setting, specifically in sports medicine or orthopedic rehabilitation, is highly desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills to effectively engage with patients and collaborate with healthcare teams.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate patients and enhance their adherence to therapeutic exercise programs and recovery plans.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000 per year, commensurate with relevant experience.
