Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients suffering from orthopedic conditions to determine their physical capabilities and limitations.
• Develop evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient's individual needs, incorporating manual therapy and exercise prescription to enhance recovery.
• Implement and adjust therapeutic interventions based on patient progress and feedback during treatment sessions.
• Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for performing at-home exercises and activities of daily living to promote independence.
• Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to design a comprehensive care plan that addresses all aspects of the patient's rehabilitation.
• Document patient progress accurately and consistently in adherence to professional and institutional standards.
• Utilize technologically advanced rehabilitation equipment and modalities to deliver optimal therapy sessions that facilitate healing.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily involve treating patients with a range of orthopedic issues, including post-operative recovery, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. This diverse patient population necessitates a thoughtful and adaptive approach to care, with an emphasis on restoring functionality and alleviating pain through both therapeutic exercise and education.

Qualifications

• Valid state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program, with a preference for candidates holding a Master's degree.
• A strong foundational understanding of musculoskeletal anatomy and pathophysiology.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and therapeutic modalities designed to manage pain and improve patient functionality.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of three years of clinical experience in an orthopedic setting, which includes internships or residencies.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual compensation for this full-time position ranges from $110,000 to $130,000.
