The Healing Mind and Soul Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in Frisco, Texas. This full-time position offers the flexibility of remote work while catering to the unique needs of children with developmental disabilities and their families. We are actively looking for bilingual therapists who can provide exceptional therapeutic services in either Spanish or Portuguese.

Work Environment\n

This position operates within an outpatient office setting, allowing for a client-centered approach to therapy. Daily interactions can take place in clients' homes or within our center, and therapists are expected to adapt their methods to meet the diverse needs of each child and family. Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Therapist, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting individual therapy sessions in the home or group therapy sessions at our outpatient center, utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to each client's needs.

• Implementing interventions focused on anger management, coping skills, social skills development, and reducing high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behaviors or physical aggression.
\n
• Enhancing decision-making capabilities in both youth and caretakers to effectively manage in-home behavioral challenges.
\n
• Collaborating consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals to align on treatment strategies and support services.
\n
• Documenting all necessary information, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, within designated timeframes to maintain compliance.
\n
• Participating in monthly meetings to discuss caseloads, share developments, and provide treatment recommendations.
\n

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses primarily on working with children aged 3-20 who are diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). You will engage regularly with families, providing support during challenging situations and fostering a nurturing environment for skill development. Therapists will play a significant role in addressing the emotional, social, and behavioral aspects that these children face, working towards improved life outcomes.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related field.
\n
• An active and unrestricted license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
\n
• A minimum availability of 5-10 hours per week, particularly during after-school hours from 4-7 pm, with flexibility for weekend sessions.
\n
• A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle to facilitate travel to client homes.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

Ideal candidates will also have:
