Work Environment\n

This role offers a remote work setting with the flexibility to conduct in-home therapy sessions or engage clients and families at our outpatient facility. While you'll enjoy most of your work remotely, occasional team meetings and collaborative sessions are vital to maintain an integrated approach to care. Our outpatient office is equipped with the necessary tools and resources to facilitate effective therapeutic sessions and documentation. Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your role will include, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

• Provide in-home therapy sessions that focus on the unique needs of children, adapting techniques to their individual circumstances and challenges.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions in the outpatient environment, promoting social skills development, anger management, and coping strategies.
\n
• Work closely with families to assist them in managing behavioral challenges at home, enhancing decision-making skills among both youth and caregivers.
\n
• Implement evidence-based strategies to reduce high-risk behaviors, such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) or physical aggression.
\n
• Collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure cohesive care delivery.
\n
• Timely submission of all documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes adhering to regulatory standards.
\n
• Attend monthly team meetings to discuss progress, share insights, and contribute recommendations based on clinical findings.
\n

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position focuses on providing therapeutic support for a diverse cross-section of children aged 3 to 20, particularly those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Our client population presents a unique set of challenges, requiring compassionate and skilled intervention to address their individual needs. By working closely with caregivers, you will help improve communication and foster a supportive home environment for these children.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this role, candidates must have the following credentials:

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related mental health field.
\n
• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4 PM - 7 PM), with some weekend availability being a plus.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for travel to client homes.
\n
• The ability to pass a comprehensive criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working with children and adolescents with behavioral challenges, particularly those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this role is competitive, with a salary range of USD 60,000 – 80,000 per year, commensurate with experience and expertise. Our benefits package includes:
