Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments and screenings to evaluate patients' psychological needs, ensuring appropriate diagnosis and comprehensive treatment plans.
• Provide short-term individual counseling and crisis intervention services for patients experiencing a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse.
• Create and facilitate engaging therapy groups and workshops centered on topics relevant to mental wellness, emotional regulation, and personal growth.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals across various departments, including primary care, nursing, and social services, to deliver integrated, holistic patient care.
• Participate in community outreach programs and mental health awareness initiatives, helping to destigmatize mental health issues and promote resources available to the community.
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring ethical and legal standards are met in therapeutic practices.

Qualifications

• An active state license in California as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or a Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD).
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based practices and therapeutic models applicable within a counseling center and community health context.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and collaborate with various healthcare providers.
• An understanding of the mental health challenges prevalent among diverse populations, particularly within the context of a health clinic.
• The ability to manage a high caseload efficiently while demonstrating empathy and commitment to patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a community health setting or within an integrated healthcare model.
• Proven track record in crisis intervention and group therapy facilitation.
• Expertise with electronic health records (EHR) and familiarity with telehealth platforms to deliver counseling services.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive annual salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
