Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute individualized physical therapy treatment plans in accordance with each patient's medical assessment and physician's orders.
• Conduct thorough patient evaluations that include assessing muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities to establish baseline metrics for recovery.
• Direct and supervise physical therapy assistants in the delivery of therapy services while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Implement therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and physical agents such as traction and massage to promote patient recovery.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members during case conferences to provide comprehensive care plans and share observations about patient progress.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation including initial evaluations, care plans, and discharge summaries while complying with regulatory standards.
• Assess and recommend modifications to assistive devices, prescribing orthotics or prosthetics as necessary based on the patient's needs.
• Engage and educate patients and their families about therapy techniques, home exercise programs, and the proper use of therapeutic equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred but not mandatory.
• Current Physical Therapy license in good standing within the state of Florida.
• Valid CPR certification and a driver's license with proof of insurance.
• Strong critical thinking skills and an ability to make decisions responsibly.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enhancing patient engagement and family collaboration.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of experience in an acute care or home care setting working as a Physical Therapist.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive yearly salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience.
