Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of client's mental health status, including evaluating the intensity, frequency, and duration of their symptoms related to mood disorders.

• Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs, goals, and preferences.
\n
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to support client progress.

• Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment alternatives, and essential self-care practices.
\n
• Monitor and document client progress accurately, revising treatment plans as needed to reflect changes in their mental health status.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure integrated care for clients.
\n
• Stay current with research and advancements in mood disorders to continuously enhance treatment approaches.

• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation in accordance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and participate in continuing education opportunities to further develop your professional skills.

• Act as a strong advocate for clients, addressing mental health stigma and ensuring their needs are met.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with clients experiencing mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. This role requires an understanding of the unique challenges faced by various populations, including homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse. By providing tailored support, you will significantly contribute to their mental health recovery and overall quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.

Compensation and Benefits\n
