Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Providing psychoeducation on perinatal mental health, along with individual assessments and tailored intervention strategies.

• Conducting comprehensive psychosocial assessments and actively participating in treatment planning, ensuring that client records reflect accurate progress metrics.

• Implementing treatment plans under clinical supervision and ensuring compliance with evolving JCAHO, Medicaid, and DBH standards.

• Maintaining thorough documentation on treatment plans, daily progress notes, and discharge summaries to track client outcomes effectively.

• Leading support groups and facilitating discussions to foster community connections among clients and their families.
\n
• Establishing and nurturing relationships with referral sources, including inpatient facilities and outpatient programs, to expand intake networks.

• Engaging with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams through regular meetings and case conferences, promoting a comprehensive approach to mental health care.

• Collaborating with volunteer staff and interns in planning events that align with clients’ needs and strengthen community ties.

• Actively participating in training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field of mental health counseling.

Qualifications\n

To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications:

• Authorized to work in the U.S.

• Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.

• Valid Social Work License per State Regulations (LMHC, LMFT, or LICSW).

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team in an outpatient mental health agency.

• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on active listening and concise information sharing.

• Clean history concerning Medical Malpractice Claims, verified by third-party sources.

Preferred Experience\n
