Work Environment\n

This position primarily operates in a remote setting, leveraging telehealth technology to engage with patients effectively. You will maintain a standard work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, while also having the flexibility to adjust your hours as needed to accommodate your patients' requirements. Our telehealth platform provides a seamless approach to therapy, ensuring ongoing access to mental health care despite geographical barriers.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, culturally-sensitive mental health assessments to understand each patient's unique life experiences and psychological needs.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to the cultural and personal contexts of your patients.

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing various mental health challenges and fostering resilience.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.

• Offer crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, applying appropriate techniques to manage urgent situations.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment strategies, and community resources available to them.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in adherence to legal and ethical standards using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Actively participate in case conferences and cultural competency workshops, contributing to an environment of continuous improvement.

• Keep current on best practices and developments in mental health therapy, integrating relevant research into your practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will primarily involve serving a diverse patient population that includes individuals from cultural and ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrant communities. You will be responsible for understanding the specific challenges faced by these groups and providing tailored support to foster their mental health and overall well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
\n
• A demonstrated understanding of mental health disorders and the application of evidence-based treatment approaches.
\n
• Proven experience providing therapy to diverse populations using culturally responsive practices.
\n
• Strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to remain composed in challenging situations.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport and trust with clients from various backgrounds.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficient in essential computer applications.

• A commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality in accordance with ethical standards.

• Ability to effectively collaborate within a multidisciplinary team setting.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous clinical experience in outpatient settings, particularly in teletherapy, is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
