Work Environment

This position is designed to be fully remote, offering you the flexibility to work from home while connecting with clients and local resources. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments that evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and social challenges upon intake and throughout their treatment journey.
• Utilize evidence-based methodologies to develop personalized service plans that outline goals, interventions, and measurable outcomes for each client.
• Provide one-on-one counseling and crisis intervention to individuals and families, focusing on mental health support during critical moments.
• Assist clients in identifying strengths and barriers, fostering resilience and self-efficacy while connecting them with vital community resources.
• Engage in safety planning and risk assessment to ensure client well-being, particularly for those facing acute crises.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical professionals and community organizations, to coordinate comprehensive care and advocate for clients' needs.
• Participate in community outreach efforts to educate the public about available resources and promote Focused Mind Counseling’s services.
• Stay informed about state regulations and best practices in social work, contributing to team learning sessions and case conferences.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role will primarily focus on individuals at various stages of substance use recovery, including those facing co-occurring mental health disorders. You will work closely with clients who may be experiencing emotional distress, crises, or need support navigating social systems. Your compassion, cultural competence, and understanding of trauma-informed care will play a critical role in helping these individuals access necessary resources and achieve their recovery goals.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current active license as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in Arizona.
• Strong understanding of social service systems, community resources, and evidence-based practices in counseling and crisis intervention.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaborative relationships with clients and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• At least one year of experience in a social service agency or similar setting, particularly in a detox or mental health environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and practices.
• Experience working with diverse populations, addressing cultural considerations and complexities involved in social work.

Compensation and Benefits
