Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Managing a caseload of youth clients, establishing rapport, and fostering positive, professional relationships while adhering to ethical standards.

• Conducting regular meetings with clients to assess progress, stability, and addressing any concerns, ensuring a consistent and supportive therapeutic journey.

• Creating, implementing, and monitoring individualized, person-centered treatment plans that cater to the unique needs and circumstances of each client.

• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation, including progress notes and treatment updates for each client, utilizing digital record-keeping systems.

• Conducting detailed intake assessments to evaluate client needs and develop appropriate treatment strategies.

• Facilitating individual therapy sessions, applying evidence-based interventions to help clients achieve their therapeutic goals.

• Engaging in regular individual supervision to enhance clinical skills and professional growth.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily services youth populations who may be experiencing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and trauma-related experiences. You will be instrumental in providing a safe space for these clients to explore their thoughts and emotions, facilitating healing and growth through specialized therapeutic techniques tailored to their age and individual circumstances.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate for this position will possess:

• A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia.

• Proficiency in meeting credentialing requirements for internal clinical settings.

• A minimum of one year of experience working with psychiatric populations and/or individuals dealing with substance abuse issues.

• Familiarity with assessment and diagnosis as well as individual and group therapy methodologies.

• Basic computer literacy with experience in electronic health records and documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of one year of relevant experience is required, candidates with additional experience in telehealth services or specific training in youth psychotherapy approaches will be favored. Familiarity with community health frameworks and systems is also beneficial.
