Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your key responsibilities will include:

• Managing a diverse caseload of clients, establishing rapport and maintaining professional boundaries to foster therapeutic relationships.

• Conducting regular sessions to evaluate client progress, discussing stability and future appointments, and determining appropriate times for discharge as needed.

• Collaborating closely with clients to create, implement, and monitor individualized, person-centered treatment plans that address unique mental health needs.

• Maintaining meticulous documentation and progress notes, ensuring that all client records are up-to-date and in compliance with relevant regulations.

• Conducting intake assessments to gauge clients' needs and formulate initial treatment strategies.

• Engaging in regular individual supervision sessions to discuss cases and seek guidance, contributing to professional development.

• Working in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including other healthcare providers, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on children, adolescents, and families, addressing a range of mental health challenges. Our clinic serves a diverse mix of individuals, many of whom may be dealing with emotional and behavioral issues as well as psychiatric disorders or substance use problems. As an LMHC, you will play a pivotal role in guiding clients towards recovery and providing them with the tools necessary to navigate their experiences successfully.

Qualifications\n

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Possess a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field.

• Currently hold licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida.

• Demonstrate the ability to fulfill internal credentialing requirements within clinical settings.

• Have a minimum of one year of experience in providing counseling to psychiatric patients and/or substance abuse populations.

• Exhibit proficiency in assessment and diagnosis as well as both individual and group therapy.

• Be comfortable utilizing electronic documentation and have basic computer skills.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience working in a community health clinic or with youth populations is highly desirable, as is familiarity with diverse therapeutic modalities. Previous involvement in case management, crisis intervention, or group therapy facilitation will enhance your effectiveness in this role.

Compensation and Benefits\n
