Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments, utilizing clinical interview techniques and standardized assessment tools to accurately diagnose mental health disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with the specific needs of each patient, frequently incorporating evidence-based practices.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, regularly monitoring their effectiveness and making necessary adjustments to dosages based on patient feedback and clinical guidelines.
• Provide psychotherapy and counseling services, drawing upon various therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT).
• Collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team to coordinate and optimize patient care, integrating various perspectives and treatment modalities for holistic support.
• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies to empower active participation in their healing journey.
• Document patient interactions meticulously in electronic health records (EHR), ensuring accurate and timely updates to reflect treatment progress and outcomes.
• Conduct regular follow-up appointments to review treatment effectiveness and address any emerging concerns with both patients and caregivers.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings and clinical supervision sessions, which are instrumental for professional growth as well as ensuring cohesive care.
• Adhere strictly to ethical and legal guidelines, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with all regulations governing mental health practices.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on Psychiatric Mental Health.
• Valid and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas.
• Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
• Established clinical experience in psychiatric settings, demonstrating a command of assessment and treatment modalities.

Compensation and Benefits
