Work Environment

This role allows for remote work, providing you with the flexibility to perform your duties from the comfort of your home while maintaining a strong connection to the school environment. Although most interactions will be remote, you may occasionally be required to meet with educators, families, or community resources, necessitating a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments of students’ emotional, mental, and social needs, utilizing evidence-based tools and approaches.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with students, families, and school staff that focus on addressing academic, personal, and social issues.
• Provide counseling services through one-on-one sessions and group therapy, tackling topics such as anxiety, depression, and behavioral challenges.
• Advocate for students’ rights and access to necessary resources within the school system and the broader community.
• Monitor students’ progress and adjust treatment plans based on their evolving needs, ensuring interventions are effectively meeting their goals.
• Facilitate educational workshops for parents and teachers, focusing on mental health awareness, coping techniques, and support strategies.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including teachers, counselors, and psychologists, to create a holistic support system for students.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position centers on providing mental health support to children and adolescents. You will work closely with students facing various challenges, including but not limited to emotional disturbances, academic stressors, and social integration difficulties. The role requires an understanding of both the developmental needs of youth and the educational environment in which they strive to succeed.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Colorado.
• A minimum of two years’ experience in a clinical setting, ideally focused on child and adolescent mental health.
• Knowledge of current mental health practices, interventions, and community resources relevant to youth.
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport with students and families while managing sensitive situations with empathy.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, including proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within a school system or closely with educators and administrators.
• Familiarity with interdisciplinary collaboration models and case management approaches.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $60,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
