Work Environment

This remote position allows you to work effectively from your home or designated workspace. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality counseling services through virtual sessions, allowing clients to engage in therapy from their preferred environments.
• Utilize a cloud-based Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to document client interactions, adhere to compliance standards, and maintain thorough treatment records.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group counseling sessions focusing on problem-solving, coping strategies, and empowering clients to enhance their mental well-being.
• Design and implement treatment programs addressing mental health conditions, trauma-related symptoms, and dual diagnoses, tailoring approaches to meet individual client needs.
• Consistently communicate with peers and supervisors to share insights, discuss cases, and engage in collaborative treatment planning.
• Maintain client confidentiality and safety throughout all interactions, observing ethical and legal standards at all times.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele includes adults and adolescents seeking support for a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and dual diagnoses. This role involves working with individuals from various backgrounds and experiences, enhancing your cultural competency as you build meaningful therapeutic relationships.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California.
• A minimum of three years of professional experience in mental health counseling is mandatory.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and create structured and flexible schedules.
• Proficient with technology, including telehealth systems, EHRs, and reliable home office equipment, such as a laptop or desktop computer with a webcam and stable internet connection.
• Must pass a comprehensive background check prior to employment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience utilizing telehealth platforms to conduct counseling sessions.
• Specialization in trauma-informed care or a specific therapeutic approach, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
• Willingness and ability to accommodate clients during weekends and evenings when necessary.
