Key Responsibilities\n

• Actively engage in clinical consultations with multidisciplinary teams, contributing to co-learning environments that enhance care delivery.

• Deliver direct services such as comprehensive behavioral health assessments, personalized counseling, and case management tailored specifically to the needs of Black birthing families.

• Maintain thorough clinical documentation compliant with healthcare regulations and organizational protocols.
\n
• Coordinate with members of the prenatal care team, including medical providers, midwives, and lactation consultants, to ensure cohesive care plans.
\n
• Co-facilitate educational workshops and postpartum support groups alongside experienced birth workers, fostering community connections and shared experiences.
\n
• Participate in outreach and community wellness initiatives designed to promote holistic health and nurturing environments for birthing individuals and their families.
\n
• Embrace additional tasks and responsibilities as required to support departmental goals and client care standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses primarily on Black birthing families within the community, addressing the unique challenges and experiences they face. By providing culturally competent mental health support, our counselors aim to empower these families through personalized care, emphasizing mental and emotional wellness during pregnancy and beyond.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, or related behavioral sciences from an accredited institution is required.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC is essential for this role.

• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with a diverse team of professionals in a virtual environment.

• Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and advocate for one's own professional development.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in perinatal mental health counseling or working with expectant families is preferred but not mandatory.

• Knowledge of community health strategies and experience with group facilitation are valuable assets.

• A competitive salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
