This is a remote position that allows for flexible work arrangements while still being part of a supportive and collaborative team. You will be working closely with child psychiatrists and other specialists in a virtual setting, utilizing telehealth platforms to conduct therapy sessions and assessments. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate the needs and challenges faced by children and adolescents.

• Design and implement customized treatment plans that address each child's developmental stage, individual needs, and family dynamics.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Play Therapy to engage with young clients effectively.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to support caregivers in creating healthy environments conducive to mental wellness.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other health professionals to coordinate holistic care and assure seamless treatment progression.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention services for children and adolescents experiencing mental health emergencies.
\n
• Educate children and families about mental health issues, treatment options, and the resources available in the community.
\n
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

• Participate in regular team meetings, case reviews, and continuous professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.

• Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in child and adolescent mental health practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily involves working with children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the complexities associated with this age group and demonstrate a commitment to fostering positive mental health outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.

• Must have a current and valid license such as LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.

• Demonstrated understanding of child development and behavior, along with proficiency in therapeutic modalities.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with a compassionate, child-centered approach to therapy and communication.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience providing mental health counseling to children and families.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $115,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
