This position offers a remote work setting, allowing flexibility while also being a vital part of our outpatient clinical team. On a typical day, you will engage with clients through virtual platforms, providing a safe space for them to explore their trauma experiences. Some scheduling flexibility may be required based on the needs of our diverse patient population, with designated working hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments that explore patients' trauma histories, facilitating a deep understanding of their challenges.

• Develop and articulate individualized treatment plans focused on fostering trauma recovery, resilience-building, and ongoing mental well-being.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methodologies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to effectively address varying therapeutic needs.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that empower patients to process their trauma, cultivate coping strategies, and promote emotional healing.

• Collaborate integratively with psychiatrists, social workers, and other professionals to coordinate a comprehensive approach to each patient's care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patients receive support in critical moments.

• Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources to promote empowerment and understanding.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential case documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring a high level of care continuity.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work primarily with individuals who have experienced varying forms of trauma, including but not limited to emotional, physical, and sexual trauma. This includes a diverse clientele with unique backgrounds and varying trauma responses, requiring a tailored and sensitive approach to treatment methods. By building rapport and trust, you will play a crucial role in helping clients navigate their challenges and embark on their recovery journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• Demonstrable knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methods.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focused compassion and non-judgmental approach to patient interaction.

• Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-stress situations and crisis scenarios.

• Skilled in the use of electronic health record (EHR) systems and competent in computer applications essential for clinical documentation.

• Ability to collaborate effectively as a part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
