Key Responsibilities

• Deliver consistent and high-quality patient care aligned with established national and community medical standards.
• Work closely with office staff to develop and implement efficient office practices aimed at enhancing service delivery.
• Act as a liaison between practice management and hospital administration, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with organizational protocols.
• Promote a cohesive identity within Thompson Health and foster relationships that enhance team dynamics.
• Manage patient care in a way that aligns practice goals with health system objectives and regulatory compliance.
• Provide thorough documentation of patient interactions and care strategies, always ensuring records are comprehensive and completed within two business days.
• Prioritize patient welfare and actively participate in meeting the health system’s strategic initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Nurse Practitioner in internal medicine, you will primarily serve adult patients with a variety of chronic conditions and acute health issues. Your role will involve assessing patient needs across different age groups, administering appropriate treatments, and ensuring that care is tailored to meet the specific requirements of each individual. You will lead a patient-centered practice that emphasizes quality, accessibility, and respectful communication with patients and their families.

Qualifications

• Active New York State certification/registration as a Nurse Practitioner (Family, Adult, or Pediatric).
• AANP Board Certification is required.
• Possession of a valid DEA license.
• Able to obtain necessary privileges at F. F. Thompson Health.
• Familiarity with ICD10 coding is preferred, enhancing your efficiency in documentation and billing.

Preferred Experience

While previous experience as a Nurse Practitioner is preferred, recent graduates with a strong academic background and commitment to patient care will also be considered. Your readiness to adapt to a fast-paced environment and engage with diverse patient demographics will be key to your success.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary range of $150,000 to $160,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
