Key Responsibilities

In your role as an Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner, you will

• Provide consistent, high-quality care in alignment with national and community healthcare standards, focused on improving patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with office staff to enhance operational efficiency and establish effective office practices that support patient care.
• Act as a liaison between practice management and hospital administration to ensure streamlined communications and collaborative care delivery.
• Ensure regulatory compliance across all practices, developing and implementing programs that address evolving healthcare requirements.
• Generate thorough and timely patient care records within two business days of service, facilitating effective communication and documentation for regulatory and billing purposes.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills by modeling best practices in patient and staff interactions.
• Guard patient confidentiality actively and encourage a culture of openness to feedback from colleagues, patients, and families.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your patients will include a diverse range of individuals requiring internal medicine services. This may encompass chronic disease management, diagnostic evaluations, and wellness checks for adults and geriatric populations. The role demands an understanding of age-specific healthcare needs, allowing for tailored approaches to patient care that include advocacy and education about health management.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Current New York State (NYS) certification/registration as a Family, Adult, or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
• AANP Board Certification is mandatory.
• DEA license is required; the ability to gain appropriate F. F. Thompson Health privileges is essential.
• Familiarity with ICD-10 coding practices is preferred to ensure compliance and accurate billing.

Preferred Experience
