Key Responsibilities

As an Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Delivering consistent, high-quality patient care aligned with both national and community standards.
• Collaborating closely with office staff to improve office practices and patient management systems.
• Acting as a liaison between practice management and hospital administration to address operational needs and advance the organization’s strategic goals.
• Fostering a unified team approach among healthcare providers and staff members, emphasizing a culture of support and respect.
• Maintaining accurate patient care records that are clear, comprehensive, and completed promptly (within 2 business days of service).
• Ensuring all professional licenses and certifications remain up to date, meticulously maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your clinical expertise as a Nurse Practitioner will particularly benefit our elderly patient population residing in the Assisted Living Facility. You will be responsible for addressing a range of age-specific healthcare needs, critically assessing patient data, and interpreting information necessary to provide tailored care to each individual. This role will allow you to utilize your skills in a patient-centered practice that aligns with the broader health system goals and improves overall health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current registration and certification as a Family, Adult, or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in New York State.
• AANP Board Certification.
• A current DEA license.
• Eligibility to obtain appropriate privileges at F. F. Thompson Health.
• Proficiency in ICD-10 coding is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
