Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive orthopedic evaluations, taking into account functional assessments and movement analysis to identify the best course of treatment for patients.
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans that align with evidence-based practices and measurable goals, adjusting strategies as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Administer various therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and therapeutic exercises tailored to the patient's specific needs.
• Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation strategies, injury prevention, and self-care techniques to encourage active participation in their recovery.
• Accurately document all treatment sessions and patient progress using our user-friendly electronic medical record (EMR) system to ensure continuity of care.
• Work closely with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient care and effectively communicate any changes in treatment plans.
• Engage in continuous professional development by participating in CEUs and in-house training sessions to remain updated on the latest clinical techniques and therapies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily engage with patients suffering from a variety of musculoskeletal conditions, including post-operative orthopedic recovery, sports-related injuries, and chronic pain management. Our diverse patient population ranges from young athletes to elderly individuals seeking recovery from joint surgeries, allowing you to enrich your clinical skills and therapeutic approaches while making a significant impact on their lives.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or a Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• Current licensure or eligibility for Physical Therapy licensure in the state of Nevada is mandatory.
• Demonstrated experience in orthopedic rehabilitation (a minimum of two years) is preferred to ensure proficient patient care.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are essential to effectively interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• A passion for manual therapy and active patient engagement is crucial for success in this role.

Preferred Experience

• While board certification in Orthopedics (OCS) is not required, it is considered a valuable asset.
