Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through initial interviews and ongoing assessments to document a client's journey from entry to treatment completion.

• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on thorough evaluations and ongoing assessment of clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to the specific needs of clients.
\n
• Monitor client progress regularly throughout the treatment process, making adjustments as necessary based on their responses to interventions.
\n
• Collaborate closely with a network of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other specialists, to create a holistic treatment approach.

• Follow up with clients post-treatment to ensure continuity of care and address ongoing challenges as needed.

• Support family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing their loved ones’ mental health issues effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will be working with a varied client base that includes individuals, couples, families, and groups from diverse backgrounds, each facing unique challenges related to their mental health. Your expertise will help clients navigate issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction, and enhance their overall emotional resilience. Understanding the specific context and needs of our clients in a community health setting will be crucial to their recovery and ongoing well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• Successful passage of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrable experience as a mental health counselor, showcasing a well-developed practice of therapeutic techniques.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR, for seamless patient management and record-keeping.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experienced in addressing complex emotional and behavioral health conditions, including a solid foundation in handling addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with the best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• A sound understanding of the pharmacological aspects and effects of medications prescribed by medical professionals.

• Strong communication capabilities, both verbal and written, to foster trust and rapport with clients.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and an understanding nature while working with diverse clientele.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience.
