Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Palm Physical Therapy, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical abilities, functional mobility, and rehabilitation needs.
• Designing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific goals and objectives.
• Utilizing various therapeutic techniques including exercise programs, stretching routines, and hands-on therapies to alleviate pain and improve physical function.
• Monitoring and documenting patient progress meticulously to ensure effectiveness of treatment; making adjustments to the care plans as necessary.
• Evaluating the need for and fitting of assistive devices, providing guidance and training to patients and their families in the use of these devices.
• Educating patients and caregivers about home exercise programs and lifestyle modifications that can enhance recovery and prevent complications.
• Staying current on physical therapy best practices and advancements by attending workshops, participating in professional organizations, and engaging in continuous education.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care through integrated treatment plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with a varied patient demographic, encompassing children to seniors, each with unique rehabilitation needs stemming from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions. Your focus will be on promoting mobility, reducing discomfort, and restoring patients' functionality to improve their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT).
• A valid state license in Physical Therapy to practice in Florida.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare colleagues.
• Fundamental computer skills to maintain patient documentation and utilize clinical software tools.

Preferred Experience
