Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments, evaluating each student’s trauma history and identifying the most effective treatment modalities.

• Collaborate with educational staff to create and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on healing and resilience-building tailored to each student's unique situation.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), ensuring that therapy approaches are aligned with the latest research.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, empowering students to process their trauma, develop coping strategies, and promote overall healing.

• Engage with other mental health care providers, such as psychiatrists, to coordinate integrated care for students and facilitate the best possible outcomes.

• Provide crisis intervention services as necessary, helping students navigate challenging situations and trauma-related emergencies effectively.

• Educate students and their families about trauma responses, equipping them with essential coping mechanisms and directing them towards appropriate resources.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation to adhere to legal and ethical standards, ensuring the protection of patient information.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development focusing on trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay informed on the latest research and developments in trauma therapy, enhancing your therapeutic skill set.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on school-aged children and adolescents who have experienced traumatic events. As a mental health therapist, you will address a range of emotions and mental health challenges, aiming to empower each student to achieve their personal best in both academic and social settings.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Nevada.

• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
\n
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with students, families, and educational staff.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and related software for case management and documentation.

• The ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-stress scenarios.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in providing mental health services, particularly in school or community settings.

• Experience with trauma-focused therapies is highly desirable, with a proven ability to implement trauma-informed care strategies effectively.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This role offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 104,000 annually, reflecting your experience and qualifications.
