This full-time role offers the flexibility of remote work while serving an outpatient clientele. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will be instrumental in providing therapeutic support to individuals facing a range of mood disorders, employing evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes.

Work Environment\n

This position allows for a flexible work setting with the primary option of remote work. Occasionally, you may visit our Nashville outpatient facility for team meetings and professional development activities. Our work hours are designed to respect work-life balance, with a schedule of Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to examine the severity, frequency, and duration of their mood disorder symptoms.

• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans tailored to meet their unique goals and preferences.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support clients effectively.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, potential treatment options, and self-care techniques to enhance their understanding and engagement in their healing process.
\n
• Track and document client progress meticulously, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on evolving needs.
\n
• Work alongside psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a collaborative and integrated approach to patient care.

• Stay informed about the latest developments in mood disorder treatments by engaging in continuous professional development opportunities.
\n
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation of client sessions, adhering to all legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Participate in team meetings and case consultations to enhance clinical skills and share best practices with peers.

• Advocate for clients by promoting the de-stigmatization of mental health issues and ensuring their mental health needs are addressed.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role predominantly focuses on individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders. Our clients represent a wide range of backgrounds, and as such, an understanding of cultural competence is essential in effectively delivering care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Tennessee.
\n
• Strong expertise in evidence-based therapeutic approaches for mood disorders, particularly CBT and DBT.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of psychopharmacology and the ability to collaborate effectively with medical professionals.
\n
• Demonstrable experience in achieving positive treatment outcomes for clients with mood disorders.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
