Key Responsibilities\n

• Build and maintain meaningful therapeutic relationships with clients, providing a non-judgmental space for them to explore their thoughts and emotions.

• Employ evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness practices, to assist clients in achieving personal and academic goals.

• Practice active listening and demonstrate empathy, allowing clients to feel valued and understood in their therapeutic journey.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of medical and behavioral health professionals to provide comprehensive and integrated care tailored to each client’s unique needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on youth clients, many of whom are confronting significant mental health issues while navigating recovery from substance use. You will support this vulnerable population in developing coping strategies, fostering resilience, and building self-esteem. Your insights and support will play a critical role in their overall treatment plan and journey toward recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work or a related mental health field is a minimum requirement.

• Must hold a valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPCC) credential.

• A minimum of two (2) years experience working as a social worker, with five (5) years preferred, showcasing a deep understanding of therapeutic practices.

• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills necessary to build rapport with clients and collaborate with team members.

• Proficiency in using technology including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) to maintain documentation and communicate effectively.

• Experience working in a detox or substance use treatment facility is highly desirable.
