Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to formulate and implement treatment and discharge plans based on thorough psychosocial assessments.

• Building and nurturing relationships with community leaders and resource groups to represent MindShift Behavioral Health and address the social needs of our patients effectively.

• Providing individual and group counseling sessions focused on behavioral health issues, facilitating crisis interventions, and managing emotional disturbances.
\n
• Documenting patient interactions thoughtfully and diligently, maintaining accurate clinical records and progress notes in alignment with departmental policies and regulatory standards.

• Engaging with physicians and other healthcare providers to communicate patient progress, concerns, and treatment-related needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with adults seeking support for various mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma recovery, and substance use disorders. Your empathetic understanding and tailored treatment approaches will play a crucial role in helping these individuals navigate their recovery journeys, rebuild their lives, and enhance their overall well-being.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.

• Current and valid licensure as a LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Oregon.
\n
• A minimum of three years of experience in a clinical outpatient setting providing mental health counseling services.
\n
• Proven ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of therapeutic theories, assessment tools, and evidence-based treatments.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills that facilitate effective therapeutic interactions.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of three years of direct counseling experience is required, we prefer candidates who demonstrate experience in substance use treatment, trauma-informed care, or other specialized modalities. Familiarity with electronic health record systems will also be an advantage in this role.
