This remote position allows counselors to engage in a flexible work arrangement that balances professional responsibilities with personal well-being. While our community health clinic is the primary setting for patient care, this role leverages technology to facilitate effective communication and treatment delivery. Our administrative team supports licensed counselors by managing billing and documentation processes, enabling counselors to concentrate exclusively on their patients’ needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct culturally sensitive and strength-based assessments for new patients and their families to accurately identify needs and develop treatment plans.

• Provide individualized therapy sessions, whether one-on-one or family-focused, tailored to each patient's specific issues and goals.
\n
• Maintain precise and timely completion of billing and documentation tasks, including individualized treatment plans and insurance authorization forms.
\n
• Create and implement effective crisis intervention strategies, such as safety plans and relapse prevention plans, to ensure patient stability.
\n
• Develop comprehensive discharge plans to prepare patients for a smooth transition back into their community while maintaining ongoing support.
\n
• Adhere strictly to federal and state regulations, as well as the internal policies and procedures of Emory Health & Rehabilitation Center to ensure ethical practice.
\n
• Continually develop professional skills through ongoing training and education, attending case consultations, and engaging in agency meetings.
\n
• Complete all required licensure and training programs to maintain compliance and elevate practice standards.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field that satisfies licensing requirements.
\n
• Current licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (eligible for LCPC, LMFT, LCSW) in the State of Illinois.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience with trauma-informed care and knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities is highly desirable.

• Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with diverse populations and adapt therapeutic approaches based on patient needs.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and billing will be an asset.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Emory Health & Rehabilitation Center offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with licensure and relevant experience. In addition to a robust compensation package, we provide:
