Work Environment

As part of an onsite rehabilitation center, our Physical Therapists work closely with colleagues, including two fellow physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA). The collaborative atmosphere fosters a supportive environment where team members share insights and expertise to continually enhance patient outcomes. Operating from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, this position replicates a dynamic and engaging workplace culture where every day brings new challenges and rewards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations to identify goals, needs, and mobility challenges.
• Develop comprehensive care plans utilizing a diverse array of treatment modalities, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and progressive resistance training.
• Maintain a manageable patient load, typically seeing one patient per hour to ensure focused, high-quality treatment.
• Implement cost-effective interventions that minimize dependency on medications and promote natural healing alternatives.
• Regularly assess patient response to treatments, documenting progress and adjusting care plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients.
• Encourage patients to remain motivated and committed to their rehabilitation process.
• Lead patient education sessions on injury prevention and wellness promotion, enhancing their overall health and fitness.
• Document all services provided meticulously to support ongoing care and legal compliance.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily serves patients with private medical insurance, focusing on individuals undergoing rehabilitation from orthopedic injuries or surgeries. We cater to a diverse clientele, from athletes seeking performance enhancement to everyday individuals aiming for pain relief and improved mobility. Therefore, our Physical Therapists must be adept at customizing treatment approaches based on each patient's unique goals and medical histories.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• An active Physical Therapist license in New Jersey, with no history of disciplinary actions.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the design of exercise programs tailored to specific patient needs.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, to facilitate effective documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

Previous experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with evidence-based practices and a proven track record of successful patient outcomes will further enhance your application. Additionally, expertise in specific therapeutic modalities such as dry needling or kinesiotaping could be considered advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, with opportunities for bonuses based on performance metrics.
