Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and preliminary interviews, meticulously documenting each client's journey from the first consultation through the end of treatment.

• Develop individualized intervention and recovery plans for clients, tailoring approaches for individuals, couples, families, and group settings.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing proven therapeutic techniques to guide discussions and foster healing.
\n
• Monitor client progress in accordance with treatment plans, making adjustments as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and social workers, to create and implement comprehensive intervention strategies.
\n
• Engage with psychiatrists and other medical professionals for clients requiring additional support or hospitalization, ensuring a holistic approach to client care.

• Identify and proactively manage behaviors that may hinder recovery, using innovative strategies and interactions to facilitate positive change.

• Support family members and caregivers in managing the behavioral challenges of their loved ones, providing them with guidance and resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a mental health counselor at Faith and Hope, you will work closely with clients dealing with a spectrum of issues, ranging from anxiety and depression to trauma and addiction disorders.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

• A proven track record, evidenced by passing scores on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong clinical acumen with previous experience as a mental health counselor.
\n
• Proficiency with electronic health records, particularly AVATAR or similar systems.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• In-depth understanding of the intersection of mental health and physical health conditions.

• Experience in handling addiction disorders and the relevant therapeutic interventions.

• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to convey complex information clearly.

• Demonstrated compassionate interpersonal skills that foster therapeutic relationships with clients and families.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this role ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, with the added incentive of a sign-on bonus.
