Key Responsibilities\n

• Identify and engage with clients in need of support, specifically within the school environment, through proactive outreach and relationship-building.

• Conduct thorough assessments of students' individual needs, taking into account their personal situations, strengths, and available support systems.

• Help clients navigate and cope with significant life changes such as academic stress, family dynamics, mental health issues, and social challenges.

• Research and advocate for community resources, including housing support, mental health services, and educational assistance, tailoring referrals to meet the specific needs of students and their families.

• Respond effectively to crisis situations, including bullying, severe emotional distress, or other urgent mental health matters, ensuring the safety and well-being of all clients.

• Monitor client progress through regular follow-ups, adjusting therapeutic approaches as needed and documenting outcomes to ensure ongoing support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on students and their families facing various challenges in the school setting. These may range from academic pressures and social difficulties to more profound psychological issues such as anxiety, depression, and behavioral problems. Your work will aim to empower students, enhance their coping skills, and facilitate supportive family dynamics, thereby contributing to overall positive educational outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field from an accredited institution.

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience working in an outpatient setting, preferably with a focus on children and families.

• Current and active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) designation.
